More than cupcakes
American candy shame, chicken marsala, stained glass pears, business pepper grinders
Hello!
IWD - love. Cupcakes at the corporates? Nah mate. Next? Equity, also the international day’s theme this year. Writing this here is preaching to the choir, I know, but by being a part of this choir, the one where you read our emails from time to time, throw us a love on the ‘gram, buy your dinners or ask us to cater your event - YOU are helping equity thrive. Thank you.
Specials this week! Italian chicken Marsala - creamy, risoni, toasty chicken with artichokes and love. Also special mention is lamb korma - two meat ones! But this korma - we make the paste from scratch and it is at once pungent and mild, ya know? Pantry staples and a range of other meals - vegan, vegetarian, sweet - also available.
Foreign Candy Puts American Candy to Shame - this Atlantic article (as she nervously clicks onto her final remaining free article for the month) is travel of the pocket snack variety.
This is so beautiful. By @homechefseattle:
A pepper grinder that makes it look like you have knowledge and preferences:
Kitchen scales! In a wipe clean folder! That looks like a book!
Just a stunner of a pic of fruit. Must be feeling classy this week, no disco balls so far…
I’ve LOVED this article, even though it is not exactly a joyous one, it puts so well so much that I’ve found hard founding a sustainable food business - what we understand ‘sustainable practices’ are crucial, but very hard to make work as a financially sustainable business.
God I love these! At Typo:
I’ll see myself out.
With love and food,
Lauren
